Shigaraki Ceramic Festival in Shiga
The second Saturday, Sunday & Monday in October
Location-Shigaraki Town, Shiga Prefecture
Shigaraki Town:Take the train to Ishiyama Stn. on the JR Shigarakikogen Line & take the bus to Shigaraki. About 30 min.
A fire festival at the Shrine dedicated to ceramics, a fireworks
display, sale of Shigaraki pottery & other events are held.

Fighting Festival in Hyogo
Matsubara Hachiman Shrine
It is a fighting festival in Nada where many cities in Hyogo Prefecture are represented.
It is famous on a nationwide scale as a brave, violent festival & is one of the biggest fighting festivals of Japan.

Heian shrine
There are 2 000 people walking in the 2 km long parade. Over 130 000 people visit Kyoto to watch it. It is one of the Kyoto's three major festivals along with Gion Matsuri & Aoi Matsuri.
