Kishiwada Danjiri Festival in Osaka

Yamate Area, Kishiwada City 岸和田市

Near Kumeda, Shimomatsu, or Higashi-Kishiwada Stns. on the JR Hanwa Line
It is festival to pray for a good harvest, Danjiri floats are pulled at great speed through the city. The Gyoki Mairi pilgrimage to Kumeda Temple,
held in the morning of the 10th, is in memory of the great work of the priest Gyoki, who created Kumeda Lake about 1 300 years ago.

Yoshitsune Festival in Kyoto

Kurama Temple 鞍馬神社

It is a festival that celebrates the legend of Samurai Yoshitsune.
There is a kendo event.
Noh is performed outdoors on the Osaka Castle grounds.

Meigetsu Festival in Kyoto

Shinto music using the biwa, harp & flute & dancing are performed in the front of the main shrine..

Autumn Festival in Hyogo

Ikuta shrine 生田神社

Tea ceremony, a small festival, martial arts demonstration, etc. is held.

Kangetsusai in Osaka

Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine 住吉大社

A moon festival is held.
There is a dance by children from Sumiyoshi.

Sento Kuyo Nenbutsu-ji Temple in Kyoto

From 530-830 pm, for ¥1 000 people can light up a candle near one of the many small Jizosans. It is free for elementary school students & younger.
